Felt like home

Active Senior Home Care was the first and only place we visited, right when we walked in we knew this was going to be the correct choice. It feels very warm, inviting and like home. It does not feel cold or sterile and based on our experience so far we would recommend this community to other families.

More Like Home

My mother was doing nothing but sleeping where she was before, and we were spending twice as much money. She was unkempt there as well, and not very responsive when we went to visit. She is much more responsive and happy and alert now. She seems to like the smaller home environment. She can sit in the kitchen and watch people cook and feel more like it's a home. It's very clean. There's a lot of little decorative items around, so it's maybe a little cluttered but definitely clean. I like that there's room for my mom to have some of her family pictures and treasures that are important to her by her bed. They have a lot of opera videos that my mother watches. She loves music, and she was actually humming along to those videos the other day, which was amazing to me.

“Two Thumbs Up”

I placed both my mother-in-law and my mother at this facility at different times. The manager, [name removed], and her team were always very courteous and went “ABOVE AND BEYOND” to both meet my loved ones needs as well as ours. The home is very clean, well maintained and the overall environment is cheerful. Most of the rooms are private with their own bathroom, so this was a great choice for both my Moms. I highly recommend this facility for your elderly loved one.

Not a single regret in placing my mom with Aurica!

[Removed] is not just a care-giver, she is family! When we first brought my mom to her home, we were so happy to see such a warm, bright, clean and friendly environment. We had transferred her from another care facility and my only regret was that I didn't know about Active Senior Home Care and [Removed] before! My mom spent the last years of her life there, and not a day went by that she did not receive the love and care I had so wanted for her. [Removed] genuinely loves her residents like family and it's reflected every day in big and small ways. She and her staff of care givers are one of a kind...a wonderful kind.

Nice place. I like Erika. Only drawback is the lack of common space and no Spanish speaking person.

*Really liked owner - so warm and friendly. *She and another caregiver live on-site. No nurse. *No extra cost for transportation. *Other residents were alert and talkative even though each was sitting by him/herself. *Young volunteers come in to visit. People come in to play music, do their hair, etc. *No licensing deficiencies. *No one awake at night, but bell system for assistance.
