Brighton Gardens of Dunwoody

Staff wasn't really with it at check in. We had to bring her two days in a row and still they didn't have the right paperwork. [name removed] other son took her to the movies and didn't tell anyone that he was doing that. When they left there wasn't anyone at the front desk. It took them a few hours to realize that [name removed]was missing but they didn't a good job getting the police involved

Overall would recommend

Staff seems friendly and kind. The facility is clean and homey. There are some activities outside of the memory care unit that I think some but not all the people from memory care would like, but they are not taken there.

Very friendly staff good energy fun activities and so on... Well I just went back

So far so good. My mom has been there for a few weeks and had only reported positive experience. It's a little unclear what services are available is the only less than positive comment that she 's made but when she has asked for things they've been very helpful. She says the chairs in the TV movie viewing area are uncomfortable...

The staff and administration are very friendly and helpful. The communication is great and they keep the family informed of any issues, questions, etc. The staff seem to have a genuine interest and concern for the residents.

Review for Brighton Gardens of Dunwoody

It is not perfect but they have been so good to my mom. It's great to see the same staff. I think that says a lot about the facility. They have been doing a soft renovation that is updating its appearance. Food is my biggest complaint. I think the menu sometimes does not take into account that many of the residents have arthritis and difficulty with cutting foods. They need softer and easier accessible foods.

Bad

Terrible. Totally money hungry. They do not care about your family. They only care about their bonuses. The director will not even speak to you. Do not be fooled. Quite a bit of turnover in the staff. They promise a care plan but it never happens. The care plan is a proposal for more money.

A good place for your loved ones

I have been very happy with the attention that my Uncle has been getting. They are working through getting to know him and his peculiarities. I feel as though he is getting the attention that he needs and is in a positive environment.

Brighton Gardens of Dunwoody

Highly recommend Sunrise Brighton Gardens of Dunwoody. We knew as soon as we walked in that this was the right place. A very clean and friendly environment. Having to make the decision to transition your parents into an assisted living is one of the hardest decisions to make but the staff at Brighton Gardens were very supportive & accommodating which helped make the transition easier. They go the extra mile to engage with the residents and family members through community social activities.

Excellent experience

Great experience at this facility! Dad‘s end of life experience provided him dignity and respect. The staff have been caring and wonderful with mom especially with her dementia. She has challenges with remembering, but the staff has been patient and caring.

Review for Brighton Gardens of Dunwoody

My father had a positive experience at visit and staff was convinced they could meet his needs. The staff tried hard but were not prepared for or capable of caring for a blind patient.Initial room assignment was unlivable with urine smell deep into carpet from previous resident. Value ok, good palatable, but dining room assistance suboptimal. Minimal OT/PT. Friendliness excellent.

Friendly and caring. They're doing a better job taking care of my mother than we could do at hour home.

They've been very good with my mother. I think she's still difficult and having trouble adjusting, but that's her and not the staff. They've been extremely friendly to us, and I think they do a really good job with her. I ate Thanksgiving dinner there recently, and it was good. The facility is very nice, and they keep it clean. The cost is high, but I understand their expenses are high and that they need to pay their employees, etc. I get the feeling the staff want to be there, which is a good thing.

Food is terrible

Food is bad. Sometimes too spicy. Sometimes not enough to eat. Sometimes all my aunt gets for dinner is a grilled cheese sandwich. Please hire a cook that knows what old people need.

A Scary Experience Has Turned Out To Be a Positive One

This has been a good experience for my loved one. I feel my loved one has improved since being at Brighton Gardens. The staff have been very helpful with any questions or concerns that have come up. My loved one seems to enjoy the food and is at a healthy weight while being at the community. Some of the activities available include, exercise, dancing, word games, Wii bowling, field trips, and more for the residents to choose from.

A wonderful place

Our loved one arrived at Brighton Gardens of Dunwoody at an advanced stage of decline. The most we could ask for was that she be cared for to keep her comfortable. The entire team from executive director, to nursing staff, aids, care givers did exactly that. She was treated lovingly and cheerfully. We were always kept aware of her condition and what was happening . We recommend them highly.

Patient care at Brighton Gardens

I am very impressed with the compassion, professionalism, and patience exhibited by all of the staff at Brighton Gardens - Dunwoody. My father went into the community quite distressed. Within the span of one month, his entire demeanor has changed. He is now engaging with other residents at meals; visiting with other older gentlemen; and enjoying his life. This has given me much needed peace of mind and I know that if I have any questions, all I have to do is make a call or send an email and the staff will do all they can to assist me.
