It's a very nice community.
Admin staff is not responsive in a timely manner. Staff are kind and helpful for my husband's move. Apt is bright and roomy.

The building is nice, great location. The day to day staff is nice and has patience. The administrative staff doesn’t respond consistently to emails. You have to go into the office to get results and stay on top of them.

With the exception of dealing with the salespeople, my mom's short time there was very positive. Ignoring the horrible, dishonest salesmen, i would give 5 to everything except 1 and 8. It seemed like a little more could have been done to help ease my mom into the facility (4), and the price was very high (also 4 considering the prices of other places in the city, otherwise I would rate it lower). My mom was very upset about moving there initially, but she really felt cared for by the people who worked there, so she settled in pretty quickly (and she could be very critical at other times). One of the nurses was with mom when she died suddenly, and that nurse along with the others was so warm and compassionate with my sister and me.

I moved into Fountain View two months ago and am enjoying my life here very much. I have especially been rewarded by meeting many compatible people. My newly renovated apartment is beautiful. I have enjoyed many of the activities here, including musical performances both here and on trips from Fountain View. The Short Story Group has been interesting and Wednesday Happy Hours are always fun. The staff is very professional and extremely friendly, making newcomers feel very welcome.

Fountain View is great, staff is very helpful, and compassionate. Many different styles of apartments, lots of programming and activities. My family has been able to go through the levels of care when needed.

I am currently a resident at Fountain View at Logan Square. The only real negative is due to the ongoing renovations, the lack of efficient elevator service due to elevator replacements, and a mouse infestation in the dining area (which has mostly been resolved, but not completely.) Overall, I'm happy here and have made many great friends.

They are repairing the elevators. Wait time can be 5-15 minutes. For the food, they need to buy higher quality products!

I met some of the people working there and they were very friendly. It was a very good experience for us as we search. The people living there seem happy. The ones we met had been very together and with it. That gives me hope for this place as an option.

Don't go there. Unless you want to throw out your money or are still mobile enough to shop outside and have outside activities, stay away. The food is so bad, my loved one often gets sick after most meals. They renovated some of the assisted living suites, but insisted they gave my loved one a depressing unrenovated studio - dark and depressing

The people are very warm and inviting and the food is great! We visited a few other places but they were mostly rundown and did not offer the great views or amenities that this community does. Our parents are going to love it here.

Best decision I could have made was moving here. There is so much going on day to day that there is always something to do. The new dining room is beautiful and the food is excellent. Everything a person could need is available. I love my apartment and have made some great friends as well

I really enjoy living at the Fountainview. The food is very good and they have enjoyable things to pass the time like games, movies, wine and cheese happy hour. Sometimes there are even beer tasting and trips. Looks like the new renovations will even have a pool table.

I quite enjoy the food here, but my favorite thing about living at the fountain view is all of the interesting and intelligent other people that live here. My other favorite thing is activities and trips in the city. I love my apartment. I was able to select the perfect apartment to my specifications. It feels like home. I decorated it, had it painted to my liking, and had help from staff to hang up all of my art. I love all of the fitness offerings here as well. I exercise with our instructor every day. The staff are terrific, especially the maintenance team and the servers.

When you begin thinking about making a change in your living situation the whole process seems overwhelming. When we began, we visited communities near where we were living at the time, in the suburbs. They were lovely, but we soon realized that we no longer needed to live where we were. We had no family nearby, and no strong ties to the neighborhood or friends, so we were free to live where our interests were strongest—in the city! We had known about Fountain View because a friend had once lived here, and we had been coming into Philadelphia for years for church. We visited several times and soon recognized that this was the right place for us. Our apartment is generous for our needs, we enjoy meals in the dining room, or we can cook and entertain at home. Activities in the community are abundant, but just steps outside are the wonders of the city - concerts, museums, theatre, shopping, medical care, and more. Most of all, we have met wonderful people and found a home!

While living here I’ve made great friends. I love my apartment. The view is amazing. I’ve had guests stay and the extra bedroom is great. The food is delicious and the wine is fine. It’s a nice community and my mother lived here. I can walk everywhere in town because it’s located perfectly.

There are a variety of Activities. If a resident wants a different activity, they can request one. Such as movies, music and games. I found my apartment to be very suitable for me. I have a one bedroom apartment and it’s very comfortable. My apartment is updated with new appliances, floors and bathroom.

We have heard people say, "I wish I had made the move sooner, when I could have enjoyed (wherever) more." And that is what we did! We chose Philadelphia for its vibrant cultural life and its affordability. Here at the Fountain View we are in the heart of Philadelphia's Center City West. Our neighborhood is wonderful: Logan Square, Museum Row, and restaurants. Places are walkable; there is so much around us! Several Septa routes are close by, as is the Free Library. Kimmel Cultural Campus is less than a mile down Broad St. I find Independent Living at the Fountain View akin to being in an apartment hotel. I have a suite of rooms with a kitchen. Breakfast is a given, and I can choose between lunch or dinner, and the food is good. There is always something on the menu. But seriously, it's the people! The staff is wonderful, and we have made so many new friends among our neighbors. We have just celebrated our first anniversary here. Cheers!

I’m very happy with my experience here overall. The other residents and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. I’m very happy with my decision. I now live closer to my daughter and am in a shorter commuting distance to my son. Because of the transportation provided for shopping, I was able to feel comfortable selling my car and depending on taxi service when occasionally needed.

I like it here because it's safe, and there are many opportunities for social interactions. However, there is a new owner since last fall. They are in the process of redoing units and many things are in transition. I suggest prospective tenants take tours, ask a lot of questions, know what you need for yourself or your family member. Ask other residents their opinions whenever opportunities present themselves. It's important to know what will make you or your relative happy, and make sure that it is available here!

Where do I start…some of the Nursing staff is uncaring and unprofessional especially after 7pm when the night shift come on. A better job with hiring needs to be considered with Nursing/CNA..we’re are you getting these ghetto, rude, ignorant, people from. Our loved one has not been cared for especially after 7pm. Our entire family rotates all day every day showing up to make sure these people are doing their job. I’ve called the nursing director to express concerns and gave time for corrections which was a joke. I had a conversation with my loved ones doctor and I was told I literally will have to contact the Department of Health to report the conditions because a lot of complaints have been reported to directors of this facility but nothing is done. The food is disgusting the social worker is clueless the pt/ot director was late to our progress meeting and had no clue what he was supposed to discuss with our family I mean a total NIGHTMARE PLEASE BEWARE over worked under staffed BUMS
