From our initial contact to admissions HEARTIS staff have been caring and kind. Brandon their director has been accommodating and a trusted resource as we navigated care for our loved one. We've only had my mother in law there for 30 days but so far everything has gone well.

I find the staff as well as the residents very friendly and helpful. The living condition are clean and well kept. The food has variety. If I don't like the menu items, there are many alternates available. The deserts are better than average. Things like pie, cake, puddings, and ice cream with toppings. The village bus is only available for medical needs on Tuesday and Thursday from 9 to 3. Sometimes that is a problem making appointments. I think the dining room is sometimes understaffed. The chef is a hard worker and tries to keep us well fed and happy. We have a monthly meeting with him to air any concerns. There is an ineffective residents' council. The physical therapy offered is the best.

Heartis was a wonderful facility for my dad. The staff was incredible and very welcoming from the start. My wife and I were going out of the country without access to a phone and we felt 100% comfortable with him staying there. He also really enjoyed it there.

I needed to move my stepdad to another facility because I didn’t think he was being cared properly at the facility he was in. I asked him if he would like to move to another facility and he said yes. I found a representative for A Place For Mom online. They ended up giving me five choices that they felt would fit his needs. Heartis was a perfect fit for him and me, too! My stress level dropped considerably because I know he’s being cared for and he really likes the food! When he saw his new room for the first time, he looked at me and said…This is beautiful, it’s just beautiful! I can’t say enough about the quality of care at Heartis. From the top on down to the caregivers, it’s amazing! It’s a very cheerful environment.

The staff and residents are so friendly and welcoming to new people. From the front door you are met with a beautiful environment and warm reception area. Administration is always available if I have any questions or concerns.

We no loner have a family member here. During the time there, staff especially was wonderful. All in all it was a good experience considering it's hard to experience a family member decline. I don't think I will ever get use to the unbelievable expense. The Memory Care Area staff was outstanding in their compassion for their clients. I spent a lot of time there and at different times of the day. It was a constant thing for staff. It's extremely clean and the furniture etc is up scale.

They struggle keeping it staffed as all I imagine all places do. the location was great for our family, my sister ultimately made the decision to move here.

I understand that they feed a lot of people daily, and that it is institutional big batch cooking, but too much salt and sweets. With that and primarily sedentary days, mom has gained over 20 lbs. in a year. Her sugar and cholesterol numbers are up, but at 97 years old, I suppose it's to be expected. Wonderful, caring staff. Mom is in memory care wing, so I can't really comment about the rest of the facility, but her caregivers are truly interested in mom's well-being, very patient, and caring.

Not a good experience. Cleaning was adequate . Staff was not always friendly.. Care was note good lots of variation of times for meds which was not good for dad's diabetes. Most activities scheduled didn't happen. We moved them to [community name removed] in Chillicothe the end of June.

Community members are family members at Heartis Village and it shows from the moment you walk in the doors. We are extremely happy that our father is at Heartis Village Peoria. Biggest regret is not visiting sooner!

Heartis is a beautiful community. You can tell the staff cares about the community members. Every person I came an across at Heartis was so easy to talk to and friendly. The community members I talked to had all good things to say. Over all it was a great experience!!

Heartis Village is the perfect place to choose for your loved ones! You won’t come across a friendly facility. The residents are very welcoming and always have something positive to say and the staff make sure you are truly taken care of!

Don't go for just 1 visit. Sit down and have a meal with some of the residents. Ask residents how they like living here, what are some of their favorite activities? Talk to the chef ask how long they have been there? Ask how long the company has been under the current management. Ask what the nursing routine is, how meds are passed and residents to caregiver and nurse ratio. How do residents get help, can pendants be worn in the shower? Talk to the maintenance and cleaning people Ask about how often the cleaning really happens. As a family member who had never looked for assisted before I didn't know what to ask or where to start. I think this place has potential but there is a lot of work to be done. They need more help and the residents can see it.

Our loved one started on the assisted living side of the facility and has since moved to the memory care side. These ratings are for the memory care side. There are very few activities offered in memory care, the only one I have seen them do is bingo once a week, otherwise they mostly watch tv. The food is not as good as what is available on the other side of the facility. Overall though our loved one is well cared for, her room and the facility are always clean and the staff treats her very well.

My mom was very impressed with Heartis Village of Peoria. Walking into the facility was like walking into a luxury hotel. She liked the size of the rooms and was very wowed by the overall appearance of everything. Of course I can't speak to what it's like to actually live there, but on our tour, the staff seemed friendly. It was pretty expensive though.
