Would not recommend Oxford Place!

Our mother was in Oxford Place for about 6 months. Almost from the day mom arrived the supervisor/manager [Name removed] suggested that mom was too much work for them. Mom had been in another personal care home but we decided to move her so she would be closer to family. After touring & visiting with staff at Oxford Place it sounded like a nice homey place for our mother. No contact was made with the other care home as to mom's level of care, we the family told Oxford Place (prior to admitting mom) that she had signs of dementia but was not a wanderer, violent or aggressive. We said she needed some help getting dressed but could get to the table (with the aid of her walker) and eat on her own. We also told them that they would have to encourage her to participate in activities. [Name removed] said "no problem that's what we are here for!" Most of the other staff seemed very good, always friendly, would give us an update on mom's condition. Cleanliness of the room??? I don't think there was any daily cleaning done, some days the floors were ok. The bathroom floor had dried on fesus on more than one occasion. Maybe they are just too understaffed??? Needless to say we were happy to see mom leave this place. She was well taken care of for the six weeks that she lived in her new home. She passed away at the beginning of November
