Fried foods

Well, it is not the best but if you have no other choice, it is not the worst. Sunshine Villa in Los Alamitos, CA is own by Minnie or Mimi and Richard. They have 8 other houses for senior citizens. One thing I know first hand as I saw it myself, was they fed my mother-in-law and the other seniors all fried foods and no veggies. All refined and simple carbs! This will fluctuate the blood sugar and a person with no activity, will gain weight or add to some problems. The fish was breaded and fried also. The owner said that the cook was new and has not had training. So, why do you put some one without training on the front line?? I hope by now the owner has trained the person. since then, I have not been back to check. If you are not looking, who knows? Linda

Nice looking place! A bit expensive

We visited this community when we were looking into care options for a loved one. I thought this was a nice looking place overall, and definitely somewhere we would have considered! However, at the time of our search they did not have any openings. It was also one of the pricier options we looked at.
