We had some issues in the beginning with them handling my mom and she has been in the hospital twice already, once for falling in the bathroom. I wish we'd had the money for a more expensive place. She says the food is good but she's bored. I know it's memory care but they sit around in the common area and sleep with the tv on. They don't have exercise or anything in that side.

The employees are all very nice and very helpful. She sleeps a lot more than most. But they do try to get up and sitting in the living room. She can't see very well, so she doesn't seem to socialize, as I had hoped. She seems comfortable there. She seems to get enough to eat. And if she wants a treat or snack, I have plenty things for her. And they seem to get her something! Clothes are done properly. The cleaning crew does not do a very good job. But they are getting better as we go. My Mother has only been there a couple months. It has a very small amount of Memory Care residents. They seem to act like a family. I'm very satisfied with the property and care.

Courtyards is much less expensive than most AL/MC facilities. I cannot give a rating for 6 and 7 because I do not have enough awareness. I believe the food is good, but I don't know about activities. Overall, Courtyards seems to be very good. The staff has been good about getting my Mom to bathe and change clothes and about getting her out of her apartment to get involved with other residents.

Some care staff avoid eye contact, most have a smile to share. Always clean and fresh clothes . The meals are very appropriate for their activity level and dietary needs. There are 3 activities offered each day. Great care, small population, never stinky, comfortable temp maintained, big rooms. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families

This is an employee owned business and they do an amazing job considering what they have to deal with. My husband has been there almost two years and has settled in far better than we could imagine. Of course there are the usual problems of that type facility..clothes getting mixed up..things going missing etc. but for the most part they do an excellent job. Also members of our family are there for a lot of meals and the food is always good, my husband usually cleans his plate.

Management is poor. Food quality does not consistently meet State of Oklahoma requirements. Based off of our experience, I do not recommend Courtyard at The Ambassador to others.

We love how it feels like a home and not like a facility. My grandma is able to maintain the maximum amount of indepence she is able to at her current stage which we feel secure in knowing she is safe and well cared for as her needs change. We chose this facility for the small and personal feel.

I would recommend to others. One thing you might add is a phone system. Some seniors have difficulty with cell phones. Family would like to be able to call them. We picked this community because of the price and location.

The Courtyards at The Ambassador was exactly what we needed at the time Mom’s needs were changing. The transition was smooth for me, a little rough on Mom. As the staff became familiar with Mom’s needs and capabilities the first week, her comfort level improved. Scheduled care practices and procedures are followed by the staff. The environment at The Courtyards is peaceful. The decor is pleasant. The rooms are large with lots of natural light. Meals are together with other residents in an open dining area. I had the pleasure of eating with Mom a few times. There’s a good variety with good flavor. I’m grateful for their service taking care of Mom.

Based on the experience we have had so far, there are things that need repair. For people in the same financial situation I would recommend it and we like that our loved one is able to have their pet with them.

The staff member who helped us tour at the Courtyards was very helpful and knew her stuff. But she commented that they had very few residents. The facility was also totally dark when we went on a Saturday around noon- no lights on in the common spaces or hallways. It was completely empty. Like no staff members in sight, only one resident and he was inside his apartment. It would be a good fit for someone looking for a very quiet facility. Just not a good fit for our mother in law.

My mother was a resident at The Courtyards at The Ambassador Care Assisted Living. It's a great facility. Everyone was very friendly. Communication with the family was good and they were very accommodating. Excellent housekeeping. And a good value. I would definitely recommend this facility to family and friends.

This community is the best place we could have found. My loved one has a door that leads to the courtyard as well as a little patio area which is great for my loved one because they enjoy the outdoors and love being outside.

The people are friendly. It is a very nice clean place with lots of activities. The food is good the menu is great, residents get to help make the menu. The room sizes are good. They have a nice outdoor space.

My husband lived in this community for a few months. Everything was going very well, until they changed ownership. From there everything went down hill. They started providing poor care, and I had to move my husband to another community.

The staff is warm and caring. The faculty is built around one big lovely courtyard. My husband is happy in his one bedroom apartment. It is an unknown jewel. They need to advertise more to let people know it's a great place.
