The Seabrook of Hilton Head, a CCRC

The Seabrook of Hilton Head, a non-profit, opened its doors in October 1982 as the Island’s first retirement community. Shortly thereafter, The Fraser Health Center, located on the Seabrook Campus, was the first Skilled Nursing Facility in our area. Over the last 35 years, the Seabrook has had thousands of residents enjoy the comfortable, casual lifestyle offered.

Hilton Head Island, one of America’s favorite resorts, is the perfect place to retire. Known for its pristine beaches, sub-tropical climate (very mild winters), first-class golf and tennis, numerous shops and restaurants and amazing wildlife, our Island has so much to offer. Better yet, the Seabrook is less than mile from just about anything you would want to do! Also, Savannah and Charleston are a short drive away.

The Seabrook has a 21-acre campus that is most noted for its natural beauty – azaleas, camellias, magnolias and fig trees - that can be found throughout the community. Privacy is plentiful with the Sea Pines Forest Preserve bordering the south and west and the Holy Family Catholic Church our neighbor to the north and east. On the grounds, there are two gazebos overlooking a lagoon. With the fountain’s hypnotic flow, it’s the perfect place to meditate,...

A wonderful location

I had the opportunity to visit my father, who is a current resident at the Seabrook. He took me on a tour of the facility and I was very impressed with the beauty of the campus and when we sat down to dinner, I was most impressed with the quality of the food and the service.

We found the perfect, active senior community for my good friend, who is recently widowed. Here is what she told us after only a few months at Seabrook: As to The Seabrook, it is an amazing value for the money! The food is great! We are getting a new general Manager from New York. I am the resident Landscape Design Consultant and we are on the All Saints Garden Tour this year in May, so I've been very busy. Our unique feature is we have covered walkways connecting all of our buildings. Minutes from the beach, walking distance. I have a pass for Sea Pines and the Beach Club for walking, music and great food! We were named 2023 Best Independent Living Community in Hilton Head. I only wish we had made this move sooner. It is great to see her so happy and engaged!

My mother is happy there.

They engage everyone. There are lots of activities. The food is great. My mother is happy there. I give this one fives all the way down. It’s a skilled nursing community though, so not a good long term living choice, but it’s really good for now.
