Regret my decision

Please do your homework before placing a loved one at the Welsh Home. Mom was there for two years. I was actively looking to move her before she passed away. The care she was receiving was getting worse by the day, The Welsh Home may be good for rehabilitation but not so much for the long term. This is especially true if your loved one has memory issues. Nursing home basics like dental hygiene was basically non existent. Mom wore dentures. They were never taken out at night and soaked. Mom suffered several gum infections because of this. Once I got them to soak her dentures, the issue of them putting them back in arose. I had several conversations with the administration and nursing staff regarding this and every time their response was "we will reeducate our staff." Food was subpar at best. I could write three pages of issues I had with the Welsh Home but I'm running out of space to do so. I regret my decision to place mom at the Welsh Home.
