For your convenience, postal services and a pharmacy are available to use on-site. Brookdale’s goal is to support and simplify your days as much as possible. Here, residents receive personalized care services as needed like assistance with dressing, bathing, grooming, managing medications, and more. Rest assured, Brookdale’s team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to be alerted to any emergencies. An emergency alert system is also used on-site to promote residents' health and safety.</p>
<h3>Community Services and Amenities</h3>
<p>Join your peers for weekly game nights and daily group activities, or stay inside your private apartment and have a personal spa night — you decide how to spend your time here. Plant fresh flowers in the garden, or try learning your friend’s favorite song at the piano. Many nature lovers frequently use the community’s green house and scenic walking paths, too. As an added convenience, the community features a private dining room, as well as a community kitchen, plus a business center filled with computers. <p>Brookdale Denton South is a <em>Type A assisted living facility</em>. In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows:</p>
<h3>Assisted Living Facility</h3>
<p>A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities:</p>
<p></p><dl><dt>Type A:</dt><dd>A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted.</dd><br>
<dt>Type B:</dt><dd>A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair.</dd><br>
<dt>Type C (Adult Foster Care):</dt><dd>Four-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents.</dd></dl><p></p>
