My parents were only there one month as they waited for their home to be repaired from a small fire And everything was great and appreciated while there. The only thing that was bothersome was a $[removed] fee upfront on top of everything.

Overall rating of 4 but be prepared for a raise in cost after a few months. We left after 6 months when wife was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and moved to memory care. Cost went from [name removed] month. The memory care unit is sadly not given the supervision required. In evening an additional person is needed to ensure the safety of all patients.

Everything generally is good regarding the care. They do not communicate very well regarding her condition and never told me she had Covid recently. I had to hear that from her hospice nurse after the fact. Now that my mother is on hospice I'm getting many more updates.

No others for comparison. Very satisfied with overall care. We are self-med and wife was put on Hospice after 1.5 months. It was the only one I visited and it met all my expectations for cleanliness and cost. The employees all were smiling and greeted us. Big thing was lack of urine smell and staff friendliness.

All of the time I've been here has been top of the line in cleanliness, service, individual needs always met, caring service. Care givers always give their best, starting with a smile and greeting by name. Executive staff joins with care givers in service to residents demonstrating unity of service ..but most of all CARE. The entire residence is kept clean daily and appropriately decorated !!! Snacks are kept available! Three meals a day are served beginning with a full nutitious breakfast!! Dining room is set with white table linens and food is served to residents seated at table. I have enjoyed every day I have been here and will be for the rest of my life!!!

The food was terrible, the care wasn't great, the place needed a good cleaning and new paint and when he passed his wallet was in his pants in the laundry. When we got it back the cash ($[removed]) and his social security card were missing. His ID was still there. We know he didn't need to have cash with him and he should not have had his social security card with him but try and tell that to a man with Alzheimer's.

Learn the names of as many staff as you can and visit often to know what is really going on. They need to hire a better chef and have at least two good choices. Sometimes not enough staff to go get wheelchair residents and hardly any activities in the afternoon. Lots of empty rooms. Only started to get more residents when I decided to move my mom.

My loved one was previously a resident at Brookdale Hollywood Park and it was a great experience for her there. They were outstanding for the treatment that my loved one received there. Without a doubt, I would recommend Brookdale Hollywood Park to others for themselves or their loved ones.

All staff members treat residents with love and care. Sometimes seems there aren't sufficient numbers on duty (daytime--only time I have experience with). Not a lot of "rounding up" of residents for activities. Some of the ones more "with it" independently come to activities. Those requiring a little encouraging don't always get that encouragement. Meals--offered options, but sometimes don't get what they selected (when they managed to select). And sometimes a simpler menu would be more appealing.

Brookdale Hollywood Park has great staff members working there, they are friendly and responsive. We like the rooms they have available for their residents. They were clean and updated. We would recommend this community to other families.

My loved one is currently a resident at Brookdale Hollywood Park and everything has been good for her at this facility so far. The housekeeping is good. The staff are all helpful and kind. If you want good communication you really have to come and visit often to see for yourself. The move in process was good. The food is fine. I wish there was a separate room for activities and more flowers inside and out.

It's a personal thing for us and everyone has different opinions, but the staff and everyone at this facility is very kind and courteous to us. I would recommend this facility to everyone!

They did not care for our loved one as they promised they would. The facility is empty most times, and the staff does not answer phone calls. We wish we had been advised not to go to this location.

The staff was friendly and everything. But walking through on our tour, it seemed more like a nursing home. It felt kind of depressing, which was not the atmosphere I wanted for my loved one.

We chose Brookdale Hollywood Park because we needed to find placement for my mom quickly and they had availability at the time and worked quick with us and were able to see us on a Sunday. We really liked the sales lady we worked with and we felt comfortable with them right away. It is a smaller facility and the staff know all the residents by name. I would definitely recommend to others looking.

We chose Brookdale Hollywood Park because this appeared to be the best one out of several that we looked at for type B assisted living. The room sizes are good for what her needs are. I think they could improve on the accuracy and timing on delivery of the medications. They do have a memory care unit attached to the regular type B assisted living facility, so if your loved one needs that care that is available.
