I would like to thank the staff at Brookdale lake Brazos they have went over and above for my Aunt to feel welcome she has been there a year and half now and she loves it. The new director is amazing and very kind, most of kitchen staff has been great . the activities director pushes my Aunt to get out and try new things both activities Ladies are fun and always have a smile when I see them.Maintence guys are great. Room is always clean if for some reason it needs attending we let staff know and they come. if there is a need for her they fix it, New Nurse is Nice . it's been a good thing for her she has always struggled with anxiety and depression. I am glad we made this choice for her .Would recommend to families when looking for a place.

Residents have to use the facility's preferred pharmacy or they'll be charged a monthly fee. Food choices are slim and alternative items even slimmer. Ice and water is not always available to Residents unless it is from their own apartment. (Previous facility had ice and water available 24/7 in the dining room.

We moved my mother into Brookdale Lake Brazos 4 months ago and she absolutely loves her new lease on life. She has made friends, goes on outings, works in the raised plant and flower beds. We have to schedule time to see her as her calendar is full. Staff have been so sweet to mom and us. So glad we chose the perfect fit for her.

Those living there too have been loving and receptive to [name removed] and us as well. 1.Overall experience – Mom moved in [date removed] and has adjusted well with the help of administration/staff/community. 2.Cleanliness of the facility – I visit Mom regularly, the facility is always clean. 3.Friendliness - Admin/Staff have been fantastic with Mom. Always friendly to me as well. 4.Quality of care – Whenever Mom needs anything, it is taken care of. 5.Administrative staff – Always a phone call away when we need any assistance. 6.Food – This is the one area Mom doesn’t always care for. She always loves the breakfast meal. 7.Activities – There seems to be a variety of different things to do. They bring in great music events. 8.Value for the money – I will always think the system is broken when it comes to finding an alternate place for Mom. It is very expensive no matter what you do. This is not one of the shiny new pennies in town, but it is well kept and clean and the admin/staff/personal care have been great.

I moved my husband into the Brookdale in July. We can’t say enough good about it. The care is wonderful. The people that work there, are amazing. They treat the patients as family. They are very kind and respectful to them. They have three balanced meals a day. The foot is really good. They have a great cook. The rooms are like small apartments. Living room, large bedroom. large walk in closet, another regular sized closet and nice size bathroom. They are very comfortable to spend time with your loved one. They have different projects going to keep them active . They take them on bus trips to different places. Zoo, museums, or out to lunch. It’s really amazing how many wonderful things they do to keep them motivated. They have a full time nurse there that takes care of all the meds and works hand in hand with their doctors. I found this place through my daughter in law. Her father lived there for Five years and was so happy. We love it so much. And would totally recommend it.

I absolutely loved the facility. It had everything mom needed. The staff was very helpful and accommodating upon mother's move in and move out. The meals were well made and I especially enjoyed the dinning area. Mother had plenty of activities to keep her busy. For the most part my mother was very healthy and very active but she did have Dementia. The staff did their very best to accommodate mother once we found out that she needed constant care in a Memory Loss facility.

I am very impressed with Brookdale Lake Brazos and their services. Also, I am very pleased with the facility and the staff. They are all compassionate and caring from the administrators, to the nurse, to everyone working in the dining room. One of the things that my mother and I noticed on our initial visit was that the residents were so happy and friendly. They loved being there as does my mother now.

The staff members executive director and marketing team have all done such an excellent job and have continued to do so. Our loved one does not always participate in the activities but we do know they have plenty to offer for the residents. Based on the experience we have had so far with Brookdale Lake we would recommend the community to other families.

The community is understaffed currently. The major responsibilities rely on two staff members, it seems they need more upper level management. The activities in the memory care seem to be more about sitting in a room with a tv. Since my loved ones have been here they haven't had a memory care director.
