I found this place because of [name removed] with A Place For Mom and she knew what she was doing recommending them. As soon as I walked in the doors, I knew this was a good place- it felt like home. The community is so bright and CLEAN. The staff really attend to the residents who were all clean and happy.

Residents with Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia can find specialized support through the use of deeply rooted, person-centered programming, here at Brookdale White Rock. Located in the Lake Highlands neighborhood — a historic area of Dallas — residents have access to a combination of helpful amenities both on- and off-site. Staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to be alerted to an emergency, and an alert system as well as keypad entries are also in use, providing added protection.
Brookdale’s unique on-site care coordination program, Brookdale HealthPlus, is designed to make life easier. The Brookdale HealthPlus Care Manager (RN) can serve as a medical advocate for residents and manage a variety of needs. The Care Manager can coordinate care with residents’ doctors and specialists, organize care transitions, schedule follow up visits, and more. Annual wellness visits, immunizations, and health screenings are also provided. Plus, residents can receive support for chronic conditions, like diabetes, high blood pressure, and congestive heart failure.

Everyone was welcoming, including the residents. We received a lot of helpful information and the community was not at all what we were expecting going into it. The community is very nice, residents are happy and seem to enjoy their home.

Our mom loves Brookdale White Rock! We visit 3-4 times a week and mom is always doing activities. Food is so good and healthy. Building smells good. Residents are always dressed nice. Staff really care for the residents.

I did on-site visits at 5 different facilities and this was, by far, the one. Ever since I met Krys Davenport (she did my tour and managed getting Dad set up) and the team that works directly with my Dad I knew this was the best option. My Dad has friends here. He says he doesn't LOVE the food but he cleans his plate 3x a day and has put on some HEALTHY weight - he's not so skinny. I know my Dad is safe here but the best part for me is that I know he is CARED for by the care team. I've seen [name removed] (the Health And Wellness Director) refer to my Dad as Best Friend - and I've seen his smile in response - and it deeply warms my heart to know that he's in a competent place that is also CARING for him as an individual. I have had ONLY good experiences with everything from logistics to my un-announced drop in visits. Highly recommend.

My father had Dementia and Alzheimer's and had become incapable of properly caring for himself by the end. When it became necessary to seek professional care, the staff at Brookdale White Rock made the transition as quick and smooth as possible. After checking their reviews and meeting with the head of operations, as well as members of the staff, I could tell this would be the right place to assist my father in his needs. The facility was clean, the staff truly care about the residents and demonstrate that care with friendly attitudes and patience. They make every effort to keep the residents comfortable and entertained while assisting their special needs. I always felt welcomed when I visited, and despite my Dad's failing mental state, I believe he appreciated the staff and their kindness as well. I highly recommend the facility for your loved one, especially if they are struggling with failing memory or dementia issues.

My mother has been a resident for three months at this point. I have complete confidence that she is being well cared for! The staff is incredibly responsive and will give a summary of her day and details that really reassure our family any time we call. We drop in frequently and she is always out and about with other residents. She has been eating very well and it’s a relief as it was difficult to get her to eat when she was at home. They are very professional and incredibly patient with my mother as she can be quite difficult and cantankerous at times. Overall, she has settled in well and has made several friends! I was not sure how it would go, but they have exceeded my expectations! Highly recommend!

Ive stopped by to see my dad at all hours of the day and night. The staff is always upbeat and friendly doing the best they can at a very difficult job. I think hiring a couple more caregivers at certain busy times of the day like getting residents to and from meals, changing them for bed etc... would be helpful and make everyones job more timely and run smoothly. It can sometimes take a few hours im the evening to get medication despensed before residents can start to be taken to their rooms.

My loved one is currently a resident at Brookdale White Rock and his experience at this facility has been good. Overall, I am very pleased with them. My loved one likes it there and they treat him very good there. I would recommend Brookdale White Rock to others.

The staff is very well trained to interact with patients with memory issues. The person that stands out to me is the male nurse whose name I cannot remember, is excellent. He is very caring yet professional in all aspects of his responsibilities at the facility. I would definitely recommend Brookdale White Rock to others!

Brookdale White Rock is not a good place. Within a week of moving in, they had my loved one heavily, heavily medicated. That seems to be their first line of action - to prescribe unnecessary medication. They do no provide adequate care on any level when it comes to medical issues, nutrition, patent supervision, etc. It was a terrible experience.

We had to make a move very quickly, and they were immediately responsive and reassuring. We feel completely safe having our loved one at Brookdale White Rock, and we feel that everyone is absolutely engaged in what they do. The staff is personable, aware, diligent, and just on it all of the time. I've had experiences at two other facilities, and that was not the case there. Our expectations are high, and they're being met at Brookdale. It has been reassuring that they not only do what they say they'll do, but they do it with a smile.

The staff and wonderful and caring towards the residents. The manager is very hands with the care of the residents, as well. The staff are willing to assist the residents with feedings. They really try hard to make the residents happy, and very resident oriented.

We love this place. The staff is helpful and upbeat. The physical layout is very pleasant and homey. We have been in other communities and this is by far the best. We have recommended this community to friends and one of my friends did move in here after my recommendation.

My mom has been here about 8 months. She came during a pandemic, a difficult time. I am grateful for the way the staff safely allowed us to visit. It made all the difference to be able to visit. We love the staff - they are kind, hard working and helpful.

Both of my parents have lived at Brookdale White Rock and our only regret is that we didn't move them there sooner. It really improved the quality of life for our parents. They seem happier and calmer. They are engaged and stimulated with music, trivia and games, and we have confidence that they are getting great care from people who care about them. The staff is caring, attentive, patient and helpful. They've gone above and beyond to stay connected and show our parents love during the pandemic when we couldn't visit. My siblings and I have much more peace of mind since moving our parents here.
