<h3>Living and Care</h3>
<p>We currently have studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units available. We also have semi-private units for residents that wish to live with a roommate. Cedar Crest aims to ensure the comfort and well-being of our community members by employing a 24-hour awake staff presence to assist with any urgent needs that may arise.</p>
<h3>Care Types Offered</h3>
<p>Cedar Crest Lewisville is a <em>Type B assisted living facility</em>. In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows:</p>
<h3>Assisted Living Facility</h3>
<p>A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities:</p>
<p><strong>Type A:</strong> A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted.<br>
<strong>Type B:</strong> A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair.<br>
<strong>Type C (Adult Foster Care):</strong> 4-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents.</p>
