It is overall a very nice community....

Both my parents are happy at Delta Retirement but my mom does a lot of my dad's care. They are short staffed at times and if my mom wasn't there I'm not sure if he would get the care he needs. Everyone there is great. The aides there do take good care of him. The food is kind of hit or miss. Some things are good other things not so much. My parent's biggest complaint is not enough staff to serve the food. Especially on weekends. Sometimes they get served first others times they sit 30 minutes or more and by the time they get served it's cold and dried out. It's a big dining room and they have a lot if people to serve. Plus the ones that can't come to the dining room and eat in their rooms. I would say the biggest issue is staff shortage which seems o be a problem a lot of places. The aides they have are wonderful. Overall I'm happy where they are at. I live close by and am over there almost every day. My parents are both pretty independent. My mom more than my dad. She is 93 and he is 98. He is also on hospice. He has an aide give him his showers twice a week, a nurse comes once a week, a message therapist once a week and a pastor once a week. My mom does his medication. It is overall a very nice community. They have a lot of fun activities and celebrations throughout the year. You can be as social as you want to be. I definitely would recommend it

Review for Delta Retirement Center

I'll be honest. At first I was really impressed but then... not. They drop the ball A LOT! It was constant follow up, lost laundry, miscommunication, lack of coordination on transport. Very disappointing!

Review for Delta Retirement Center

The cost has gone up too much on all items. I would say that it is a good experience if you can afford it.

Delta Retirement Center was great!

The staff at Delta Retirement Center were top notch and were able to get my father a place in their hospice center. The care that my father received while there was great. I would recommend Delta Retirement Center for any family.

Our family had an in person tour with Delta Retirement Center and we thought the community and tour experience was just fine, but at the time it just came down to what was available for our loved

Serene Setting

I would only recommend Delta for its location - it's conveniently located to feel like a quiet community but near all the shopping and entertainment. I hope a friend never has to experience it, but if they do, consider working with A Place for Mom and taking advantage of all the tours before making a decision. We picked this community, because of the recommendation from the visiting nurse.

Tour experience

We toured with Delta Retirement Center and found the facility to be very nice! The only downfall for us was the size, we thought it was going to be too large for our loved one. But it was a very nice place.

Delta Retirement Review

The main reason that we went with this facility was because of the price, the space available, and the flexibility. I would tell others that the care staff at Delta Retirement Center are separate from the facility staff.

Our family's experience

We learned about the fire from reading the news, btw - the facility waited almost a day and a half before communicating with families. So.... not a great experience, but I suppose they are doing the best with what they have? I should note that Meals/Dining started out at a 3. The cooks were so good about chopping up my dad's food so he could swallow it, very attentive to. Only visible to agents After the fire, they closed the dining room - residents had to eat in their rooms. It never really reopened because the facility had a hard time staying fully staffed

Tour experience

We had a great tour with Delta Retirement and really liked the facility and the people. It was just way too expensive for what we could afford and they also do not take Medicaid waiver.

more than retirement

our experience with Delta Retirement Center has been great! [name removed] is the caregiver that has treated my dad as if he was her dad. she has been so kind and caring towards someone who is struggling with their final days of life. she loves him like her own, he feels that love and he tells me that. it means the world to me that they have someone there who loves him like I do, especially since I can't be there 24/7. there are some caregivers that I have not interacted with so I am unsure how they are outside of [name removed] and [name removed]. we had to bring in help from the outside for our own financial reasons. its not that Delta is inadequately staff, we just had to do that for our own monetary reasons. they do offer transportation for doctor appointments and grocery stores, but my dad hasn't used that service yet. our favorite thing about Delta is that they don't make you feel like a burden. a lot of times we put our loved ones in these communities because we can't care for them properly or they need more attention than we can provide. at no point do they make us feel like a burden, they seem like they're happy to have your loved one there. it's important to note that my dads health and his mobility has declined since being there, so our experience may be different from someone else. its not that they're unwilling to help, they just aren't set up for those who need round the clock care. that is to no fault of the community, his needs are just a little more demanding than we anticipated. I would recommend this community to those who are a bit more independent, but still need a little assistance.

Our experience with Delta

My friend lived here at Delta Retirement for a couple of years and we were pleased with the experience. The facility is more homey feeling and I liked the people. It is independent living, so my friend just needed more care.

Highly recommend

Things are going great for my mom here. We chose Delta Retirement because everyone was super friendly and helpful. The cost was also more reasonable than some other in the area for what she got. She had a friend who already lived here too and enjoyed her experience. I would absolutely recommend.

Not a nursing home - a place for your loved one to become their own person.

They seem to be helpful and very accommodating when they can be. The apartment size and all of that makes my loved one feel like it's more like her house. She can put things where she wants and do what she wants. She enjoys the food. Overall it's not a depressing place. She was one who thought it was going to be like a nursing home. Even though she made her own decision to try it out, it took her a while to realize this wasn't a hole in the wall she was going to. She really enjoys it overall. One thing we have really noticed about her is she has become more active, and the social part of it, interacting with other people her own age, has made a huge difference overall.

Pleased with my choice

I chose Delta Retirement Center because it is very close to my sister and the value for what I am getting, it is much more affordable. My apartment is good size and I am very comfortable now, they are very nice and updated. To me, it does not seem like there is a lot of variety on their menu and sometimes the meat can be a little dry, so I do think they could use improvement there. They did just open the dining room, so it may be improving soon. They are now offering something you can wear around your neck or wrist and you press the button if you ever fall or need anything while you are at the facility. I have used it a few times and they come very fast. I would highly recommend them to others looking.

The people that would do best here would be seniors that are mentally with it. The staff is very caring but they don't do memory care. I would recommend this community to others
