After life got tough, Evans Park offered renewal.

It was a 5. We all wished it could have been much much longer. [name removed] passed away one year ago today. His time at Evans Park was way too short. He blended right in. I'd get there every day and he be chatting away with other residents like it was meant to be. Sometimes I'd chucklle,, duck and go find someone to talk to myself so as not to interrupt what appeared so much fun for him. [name removed] made certain the move in was seamless and everyone, literally everyone was caring and pleasant. Sadly it was curtailed but again, [name removed] made my move out as pain free as I could possibly hope for. Bravo Evans Park. I told my wife I wouldn't hesitate for a moment if the need became present. She agreed. Other. Food was very good, housekeeping was great.

Fair

There were some nurses that were wonderful, but some of the aides could have been nicer, more prompt, and more caring. Once they kept my dad waiting 2 hours to have his diaper changed and to get pain medicine. We found out on a Wednesday that my dad was going to be moved to a hospice house. When they moved him the next day, administration called me to tell me that we were supposed to give 30 days notice! They cared more about getting their money than the fact that my dad was dying!

Beautiful site

I was there visiting the site. I was greeted warmly by the staff. Tried their breakfast, 5 stars. I see senior couples managing well. Definite plus! Thinking of viewing this site with several seniors for placement.

Would recommend. Overall a pleasant and engaging environment.

Overall dad had a fairly good experience at Evans Park. They were a bit too quick to call an ambulance for a minor fall. The first year they had him listed and charged at a higher rate than he should have been. Not until a full time Director of Care was there and did a reevaluation was his status changed. There was no transparency on the original evaluation. There was an ongoing issue with housekeeping and their inability to properly make a bed or hang up his clothes. The majority of the staff were fabulous and became family for dad and for me. They were a phenomenal support group during dad's last months. For us they exuded love. We still keep in touch. I will be forever grateful for their love and especially their hugs.

Warm, welcoming, spotless & good food.

It all begins with [name removed] who helped us in all ways to choose and get settled in Evans Park. There was never an institutional feel. Warm friendly personal concern was the prevailing experience. This provided a platform for my Bro to assimilate into the community on day one. Great stuff. Phenomenal attitude and service.

I have lived at Evans Park for 8 months. The community relations director reassured me she was the first positive experience. I feel very fortunate to be surrounded by such caring staff and residents. The feels is wonderful and the best part is. I don't have to cook, I can simply enjoy the meds.

Evans Park at newton Corner is a very nice place! Attractive facility and very nice residents and staff. Room size was generous. Food was excellent. Transportation services do need improvement: they were working on that last I heard.

Excellent Place

I can’t say enough good things about Evans Park. My dad stayed here for a few months after a health setback. I credit Evans park for his full recovery. The staff was always friendly and engaged, the food was phenomenal and the daily activities offered to residents even got my dad out of his room.

The Ultimate second home

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for the outstanding service provided by [names removed] at Evans Park. Their dedication allowed us to host a memorable surprise birthday gathering for our uncle. This celebration held special significance as it marked our uncle's 75th birthday and the anniversary of his stroke. It was vital for us to honor this milestone. [name removed] meticulous attention to detail and insightful recommendations regarding services and options were invaluable. He ensured we had the perfect accommodations and ideal spaces, such as the solarium and bistro, for our event. On the day of the gathering, [name removed] provided exceptional on-site support, promptly addressing any requests for additional tables or supplies, ensuring everything ran smoothly. Our uncle was genuinely surprised, and our family members were thoroughly impressed with Evans Park’s amenities and overall ambiance. Thank you for your commitment!

newly renovated, nice overall

The reason for overall experience being 3 is because for the entire past 10 months, the building has been under construction and it was a nightmare. (Water turned off a lot, elevators not working, mess everywhere). Also, the staff turnover was huge. It seemed like everybody in leadership positions were leaving every few months and a new person coming, so it was very hard to get to know anybody. And many of the staff care people do not speak English very well.

Evans Park Provides Solace and Care for Families

I would give the sales team and front facing staff a 5. They are excellent and really want to find solutions and help. The nursing team gets a 3. I find that the nursing team cares for their residents quite a bit but they are unorganized and don't always know how to message well to family members. It can feel like they aren't all on the same page and aren't closing the circle on what's happening with a resident - and the way they message the info isn't always the best. There also seems to be a mentality of "my boss said" instead of true ownership in decision making. The peace of mind is priceless, but overall, memory care is outrageously expensive.

Hoping for Improvements

Within the last month, there has been a huge turnover in staff, with upper management. There has been a lot of inconviences, due to renovation taking place. There needs to be better commnucation with the residents, with any changes going on with the renovation process. Someone needs to be more sensitive, to the needs of the residents. I am really hoping that the renovation process is nice, and the staffing issue gets resolved. The current staff is friendly and hardworking.
