A few things that stood out most - Very caring team of aides, nursing team. Clean facility. Great team managing maintenance and repairs in apartments. Administration is top notch and caring.

After my dad passed away, my mom moved into Independence Village and we couldn’t be happier with her experience. From the moment she arrived, the staff has been warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. It’s clear that they go above and beyond to make residents feel comfortable and at home. The food is fantastic, offering a great variety of delicious and nutritious meals. The services available provide her with everything she needs, from housekeeping to medical support, and there are always fun activities happening to keep her engaged and social. It means the world to my family and I to know that mom is not only safe but truly enjoying this new chapter of her life. Every time we visit, we feel welcomed and reassured that she is surrounded by a wonderful community. We are so grateful to the entire team at Avon Lake Independence Village for the care and kindness they show every day! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a supportive and vibrant senior living community.

We chose IV of Avon Lake because of the location, word of mouth quality and we heard the food was great which it was. They were very accommodating and kind. Went out of their way to check on my aunt even after she moved back home. I would like to add that [name removed] is exceptional at her job!! She truly went above and beyond for us.

Elegant atmosphere. Professional staff. The food is appetizing and tasty. Smells fresh and looks well kept. The residents are friendly with each other. Many activities that are engaging and fun. My parent seems well cared for.

This Independent Village has exceptional staff and my apartment has been "just right. My husband died in May of last year. The staff and residents could not have have been more caring and supportive. Their response was a "gift" to our family.

My mom moved into assisted living And has truly had a wonderful transition. The staff is phenomenal, very caring and responsive. She has raved about the food and has started joining some activities, Choices of which are plentiful The grounds and common areas are meticulous.

Hi there! Our mother is 96-years young now and has been with the caregiver team in Avon Lake for 8 years and counting. Mom's health is excellent and her nurse practitioner is so happy to see that she is well cared for, so are we! The community has such a passion for elder care and I know when I leave, mom is with some of the kindest and gentle hands. She visits the hair salon on a weekly basis, her nails are painted at Tuesday afternoon's coffee hour, the movies and social events are well attended and let's not forget the church services and visits from members of the cloth! Mom's apartment is spacious and always clean, laundry is folded, the sheets are crisp, the bed is made daily and her bathroom hygeine is second to none, maintenance work orders are promptly addressed. There is a sense of community when you walk in the door, it's the positive energy that surrounds life at Independence Village. We are so fortunate to have a place for mom that we can call home, she is safe and happy!

My mother-in-law has been in the Independent Living community for 2 1/2 years. It was unsettling for her to move out of her home after 55 years; however, the staff at Independence Village really went out of their way to help with the adjustment. They were very proactive about helping her make new friends and tried different arrangements to ensure this. They even made sure she was able to navigate to her apartment by "hanging back" and helping if needed. The aides are so personable; you can tell that they "don't just hire anybody"; these aides are carefully chosen for their love for seniors. And they learn about their residents so they can meet specific needs. The chef is phenomenal! He and his staff prepare exceptional meals and provide beautiful and tasty treats for special activities. My dad recently relocated to Independence Village from another facility. The caring staff made him feel comfortable the minute he walked through the doors for the tour. The day of move in he was welcomed with a Welcome Home sign with his name and fresh flowers. His apartment and the entire facility is very clean and bright. He loves his balcony and the independence to manage his meds with my help. Both he and I like the wellness call he receives every morning to check on him. I would highly recommend Independence Village. Thank you for making my dad happy and comfortable.

Words cannot adequately describe the loving, compassionate care provided to my wife. Every employee from housekeeping to maintenance to laundry service to front desk and everyone else is responsive, caring and dedicated. They frequent- by comment that they love their jobs and it shows ! My wife and I are indeed fortunate that she resides there. What a blessing!
