We offer activities like art classes, educational programs, discussion seminars, exercise classes, games, entertainment, parties, and much more — all to stimulate social, physical, and intellectual well-being among residents continuously. Our homes offer a unique setting with a large living room, centralized kitchen, dining room, fireplace, and large front porch. Professional staff is available 24/7 in the home to assist residents with any concerns or personal care needs.</p> <h3>Care Types Offered</h3> <p>Mayberry Gardens provides both <em>Type A</em> and <em>Type B assisted living</em>. In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows:</p> <h3>Assisted Living Facility</h3> <p>A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities:</p> <p><strong>Type A:</strong> A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted.<br> <strong>Type B:</strong> A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair.<br> <strong>Type C (Adult Foster Care):</strong> 4-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program.
