Located in the Cheviot Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, Terraza of Cheviot Hills is a boutique-style community offering assisted living services to seniors. Just off of Santa Monica Freeway, this community enables residents to reside close to shopping options, restaurants, museums, art galleries, places of worship, and a local senior center. The community serves Beverly Hills, Century City, Beverly Woods, Westwood, Brentwood, and Culver City families.
The dedicated and knowledgeable staff is available 24 hours a day and keep residents’ well-being at the center of everything. The assisted living services offer extra assistance with daily activities, medication management, personal care needs, and more. Additionally, residents have access to a complete dining program, on-site salon services, on-site healthcare and therapy services, and plenty of opportunities for social interaction.
Residents can choose from spacious private or companion apartments, each equipped with private baths, utility packages, and individual climate control. My loved one and family have had a wonderful experience with the community. The staff have been very helpful and available to answer all our questions the family has. We're very happy with everything. Everyone is very friendly. Overall, we would recommend the community to others.

Our family had an in person tour with Terraza of Cheviot Hills and from everything we saw in the community, the staff we were able to speak with, overall the tour experience was good, we ultimately had found a better community for our loved one

*Staffing shortage issues affect overall care. *Staffing shortage affected quality of food preparation. *Very old building with countless deferred maintenance issues, particularly plumbing and electrical, causes resident relocation to different units at any given time. *Laundry process needs to be revisited (my grandfather's clothes were taken and not returned because in error/mixup they were given to another male resident). *In good conscience I could not recommend this place to anyone.

This is a well run community with excellent care for loved ones. The staff communication with the family has been great. The food for the residents have also been great for our loved one.

It is convenient to park and easy to get into. They take decent amount of Covid care. They have a nice setting, with very nice patio. It is small so has a very homey feeling , maybe only 49 residents or so. The reason I chose Terraza of Chevoit Hills is being that they have in house therapy.

After 3 months in she left in an ambulance in hospice. My mom had dementia and they accepted her knowing this without any memory care services. They called me daily to pick her up and continued to raise her levels of care.

Terraza of Cheviot Hills has a very positive environment and atmosphere. I do think that that the residents who are disabled need more attention and care from the staff members.

Never thought my almost 100 year old father would still be at this facility since he first arrived in 2019 but have no regrets after all this time and even through covid. This may not meet everyone's needs as assisted living facilities have different levels that they accept but they have met and gone beyond all my expectations in terms of meals, addressing his specific needs for his age, activities, special requests from staff. A truly dedicated staff.

The community is very neat and clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. You do need to provide your own furniture if you do not want what they offer. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

I can see where Terraza might be a good place for some, but it was not a good place for us (me and my mom). My mom was on hospice coming in there and pretty much, that is when things went bad. The evaluation process did not serve my mom or Terraza fairly. Almost as soon as my mom got there her health started to get worse and the facility was just unable to step up to the situation. After 16 days I moved my mom. It's a very clean and friendly place, and the administrative staff does what it can to put on a happy face, but here are some things to consider. There are over 80 residents when they are full. There are (maybe) 10 care givers during the day and 3 at night. So if you need allot of attention continuously, it might not work for you. The food is okay. If you are bed ridden and or have problems moving yourself around then there might be a problem getting the assistance you need when you need it. Do your homework, investigate more than just the tour. Good for some. Not for us. Good luck.

I toured Meridian of Cheviot Hills. The tour guide was friendly and helpful, and the facility was clean and in good shape. It was a good experience to tour, but we already had another community in mind that fit what we were looking for a little better.

[Removed] provided reminders so I did make this tour Director and assistant were friendly and helpful. I found that this facility was too confining for me. I lead a much more independent life than this would allow PCost was much more than my budget allows

Meridian of Cheviot has provided a very good experience for my Mom as a new resident. The staff are all very nice and welcoming. Since Mom moved in she's made friends and really just enjoying the atmosphere. She says the food could be better but I guess it just depends on your taste buds. What's most important is that she is happy and really seems to like it there.
