Downsizing from such a large house was difficult but everyone here has gone through it. Lots of neighbors have been very supportive since we moved in and we are trying to learn our way around at this point. We're happy to be here and look forward to settling in to make it our forever home. Thanks for checking on us. I feel certain this is where we're supposed to be.

The Waterman staff are friendly, attentive and responsive. They offer many services and activities to accommodate different types of people. I feel that my parents are safe and cared for.

5 for everything. I've never tasted food. But, it looks nice. Both the care staff and front office are very nice. I'm pleased with my choice. Facility is relatively new. It has a nice residential feel to the interior instead on institutional. It's not large...maybe 24 beds which gives a nice staff to resident ratio. Knowledgeable and caring staff.

The staff there is first rate! [name removed] was previously living at another assisted-living facility. Definitely not the same quality staff. The people at Waterman have been helpful, knowledgeable, responsive. Anytime I have to call or have questions or need extra help, they are quickly available. For example the front desk receptionist at [community removed] was so kind and helpful! I called to ask for help because I could not reach [name removed] on the phone. The receptionist stopped what she was doing, went up to [name removed]room to check on her, and reported back to me that her phone had just been accidentally turned to vibrate only. Certainly that was above and beyond her job description! The care she receives from the nursing staff, med techs, CNA's, etc. has been wonderful. The head nurse, [name removed], and the staff nurse, [name removed], are both kind and caring, phenomenal people. Definitely night and day difference from our previous place.

We have found that the staff goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful. They always speak and ask if she needs anything or if they can do anything for her. She has a studio which is enough room for her. She has her bed, dresser, recliner & side table plus 2 small tables. There is plenty of wall space for pictures. The bathroom is roomy with a closet.

I didn't want to become a burden on my family some day. Waterman Village offers everything I need to do this. Much better than if I tried to remain in my own home. Of all the places I visited, they offered the most and Mount Dora was tops.

Knowledgeable, professional and committed staff who provide wonderful care. The facilities are clean and very well maintained. Food is excellent with a varied menu. There are plenty of activities to suit a myriad of interests.

We moved into Waterman Village as fairly active Seniors. We loved all the activities and the multiple dining venues. But within a year, we were struggling with several health challenges. It has been such a blessing to have 5 star health facilities on site. I had to go to rehab after a hospital stay and my husband could drive over in the golf cart for a visit and even bring our dog. The culinary team made sure he was well fed and they often checked up on him. Since then, neighbors and staff have continued to check up on us I love getting up in the morning and watching the birds on Lake Margaret. We have active neighbors that have installed bluebird houses. All of us enjoy the many birds. We even have a resident birding expert. Residents are often suggesting new activities. Or are actively caring for neighbors next door or down the hall. Our whole campus is well cared for. We are extremely happy about our decision to live here

We moved in on [date removed], I became very active on many committees and served as Chairperson or Vice Chairperson on most of them. We have entertained many people in the Bistro over the years. The staff has become an part of my family. The take wonderful care of all the residents and have assisted living and skilled nursing if needed. My husband died recently and his ashes have a place now behind the Chapel so I almost haven’t lost him completely.

Waterman Village is exceptional. There are all types of options for seniors, and a very knowledgeable staff to help guide you through the process. Everyone is welcoming, and there are loads of activities throughout the community for every Interest. All staff members are caring and friendly. Importantly, the food is really good, and the property is clean and well maintained. It is such a wonderful place to live. I highly recommend Waterman Village.

I have been down this road (assisted-living for an 80+ year old family member) twice. I wished I had been able to choose Waterman Village on the first round. Unfortunately, they did not have any availability. It was January 2020. I say that because I cannot tell you how many people from various assisted-living communities promised me how great their services were, how much attention they paid to the residents, how much they were willing to work with my particular family member, and how happy we would be to make their facility home. Waterman said very similar things, and that was not surprising. It was very hard for me to make the decision to move because basically everyone else we talked to lied and I assumed Waterman was doing the same. I will be blunt and say my family member did not have a good care at [facility name removed] On the complete opposite, Waterman Village staff is kind, caring, responsive, and they have held up to everything they promised, including availability for medical appointment transportation, unusual food allergies/preferences, a family member who is not interested in any of the social activities, but prefers to stay to herself , and they have responded every time I have sent an email or made a phone call. I could not be more pleased! I am also grateful to A Place for Mom for helping us research and weed out the choices.

The people at Waterman bent over backwards to accommodate my dad and his dog. They've been very kind and helpful in easing the transition from a house to their assisted living facillity for him. He says the food is very good and they even allow a doggie bag now and then.

I would tell others that their loved ones are on their own, apartment living in Bridgewater. Especially nights and weekends so if extra care and help is needed go to Edgewater. Don't know why Bridgewater insisted they can and would handle extra care.

We live in the new Lakeside community and have been here a little over a year… The food and staff have exceeded our expectations… The size of the unit as well… Since we were moving into a new unit we expected a few problems, but found that there were many construction problems which are mostly resolved after a year… we toured many communities in Central Florida and chose Waterman… Despite the issues we would still choose Waterman…

There did not seem to be any administration courtesies in place. As a loved one of a resident. I would have appreciated a plan be provided if you needed assistance for you loved on at night and on weekends, ie a phone number to call attendants on duty. Also, we never got a courtesy call from admin when the resident passed away with instructions for removing personal items. Not sure why they were so adamant they could provide for our loved on, when he clearly did not get the attention he required.

As a long-time resident, I can honestly say that I have made a wonderful choice in retiring here. The facilities are lovely. The staff must be carefully screened and amazingly trained as they are, to a person, friendly cheerful and helpful. The recent addition of the Lakeside campus has added many interesting people and greatly enlarged an already generous choice of activities.

We moved to Waterman Village in March of 2022. We were here during the building phase and have witnessed the growth of our community. Like any new development problems have developed and needed to be resolved. The staff have worked tirelessly to provide solutions to each occupants needs, including my own. The staff is great and willing to help and is super friendly. Our food and dining venues are varied and all serve delicious healthy food. our activity schedule is abundant and age appropriate. Our residents are all friendly and supportive. I believe our facilities are lovely and well maintained. Our staff has helped me cope with the loss of a spouse with assistance from nursing staff to comfort and concern of community members. I feel we made a wise decision to move to this community which offers a chance to age in place with grace and comfort.

We moved to the Lakeside Community in the Spring of 2023 and by far it has been the best decision we ever made. The facility is well maintained and the staff could not be more friendly and accommodating. Residents are like family and activities are diverse enough to accommodate every level interest and ability.
